Dear Mean Reader

The best negative review I’ve ever gotten: “The book started out okay, but then it became a little too satanic.”

Ha! This was about LOOKING FOR YOU, where the heroine was a gourd artist.

A lot of people aspire to become authors, but few actually have the balls to do it. I don’t like everything I read, but I respect other people’s work because I know what it takes to get a book out there. It’s admirable, even if the story doesn’t resonate with me.

My stories don’t resonate with some people. Shrug. What can you do? Some people like mint chocolate chip ice cream and some like strawberry. Fortunately there’s tons of flavors to choose from.

And, like Salman Rushdie said, “A book is a version of the world. If you do not like it, ignore it or offer your own version in return.”

Word, Salman.

And to you I say, haters gonna hate. Don’t let them keep you down.

Peace and fairy dust,
Me
