August
August saw Arkansas and South Africa. There's not really much more to say than that.
July
I'm guest blogging on Tor's site in honor of paranormal month. No, I hadn't realized July was paranormal month either. All these years and I was clueless. But that's not the point. What is the point? That you should check it out and post a comment or two, even if it's just to say hi and that I'm a wondrous human being.
RWA National conference is at the end of the month. Orlando this year. Get your Mickey ears and come to the Booksigning for Literacy on July 28th. There will be books, and I will be signing. Or you can bring books for me to sign. Any books—I'm not picky.
I am also making my annual trip to the very exotic land of Arkansas. (Insert oohs and ahhs here.)
Q1 and 2
What the heck, people? Did none of you see that I hadn't updated my News area in half a year? Were you just seeing how long it'd be before I noticed? Six months is the answer to that question, although you can't really say I noticed since a friend's been bugging me for days to fix it.
So in the past six months, I've...
- taken tango lessons in Buenos Aires
- talked at the San Francisco Writers Conference (which is a fantastic event, if you're on the fence about going next year)
- spent a couple months in New York
- had lunches and drinks with my agent and editor
- spent a month in Portland, Oregon
- tangoed my little feet to exhaustion
- hightailed it to Spain
In there, I've written three books, one of which—TEMPTED BY FATE—comes out December 2010.
Anything else you need to know? Oh—right. I'm being auctioned off. You can either get A CRITIQUE BY ME or, if you need a gentler option, have COCKTAILS WITH ME at the RWA National conference. You know you want to bid. And it's for a good cause.
